Ballyhaunis Film Club

The Ballyhaunis Film Club runs the Community Cinema in the community hall. The volunteers organise feature films, new film screenings, and films of Irish heritage courtesy of the Irish Film Institute.

We also show foreign language films hand picked from the multinational community living in Ballyhaunis.

The film club also screens French films provided by the Embassy of France in Dublin and Alliance Francais

'Ballybogs'

By Cloonfad NS and Logboy NS students

The Ballyhaunis Film Club screened the locally produced 'Ballybogs' short, a Mini Motion Pictures Film Production in association with Shuttermaniac™,  Creative Ireland Roscommon and Samsung Electronics Ireland.

The film is written and directed by Cloonfad NS and Logboy NS students and filmed in Cloonfad Scenic Walks.

Since premiering at the Ballyhaunis Film Club, the film has been selected for the Lift-Off Sessions, the monthly online festival founded by Pinewood Studios UK, and was subsequently listed on IMDb

In December 2025, the film was officially selected for the first Lift-Off Film Festival programme of 2026.

Well done Ballybogs!
