Ballyhaunis Summer Festival

The Ballyhaunis Community Council is delighted to participate in this year's summer festival programme with a variety of family-friendly activities in the Community Hall.


Children's Open Mic Music Party: 5 - 7pm. A fun and welcoming music event for children to perform, in conjunction with Ballyhaunis School of Music. Free entry, pizza and goodies, everyone welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.


Genealogy Clinic with Mayo Genealogy Group: 5 - 7pm. Drop in to learn how to research your family tree with members of the Genealogy and Heritage Group which meets regularly at the Community Hall.


Cupán tae agus Gaeilge: 5 - 6pm. Drop in for a tea/coffee and a chat as Gaeilge (in Irish). All  levels welcome. Hosted by Ballyhaunis Language Café, winners of the Mayo County Council Cathaoirleach’s Award 2026 for best Irish Language Initiative. 


Festival Line Dancing Hoedown: 8 - 11pm. Join Mary Kathleen for a feast of shuffles, waltzes, stomps and boogies! All welcome especially beginners & improvers. Admission €12 includes refreshments and a raffle.
